In-Motion scales will weigh an entire train while the train is moving across the scale at a reduced speed, not requiring a complete stop.

NTEP

NTEP Approved Legal-For-Trade Rail Scales

Legal for trade scales (NTEP approved scales) determine the pricing of a product by weighing it, and they are considered part of a Legal-For-Trade scale system. Scales and other weighing equipment that are approved by the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) have been tested and evaluated to ensure they meet all government standards and requirements.

Weigh-Tec is accredited in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. Our service team is licensed with the Department of Agriculture, performing calibration and testing per Handbook 44’s guidelines, and they will provide you with certification and all required paperwork.
